Alana Kaye College and Kalinga State University to Advance Faculty Development through Transnational Education
Alana Kaye College formalised a new international partnership with Kalinga State University (KSU) in the Philippines through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement in November 2025.
The agreement was signed in Kalinga Province by Alana Kaye College Chief Executive Officer Ms Alana Anderson, alongside Mr Arvin Alcantara, Alana Kaye College Country Manager for the Philippines, and Mr Socrates Abella from the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Cordillera Administrative Region. The Kalinga State University delegation was led by the University President, together with members of the senior academic leadership team and representatives from the International Linkages Office.
The partnership initially focuses on the transnational delivery of the Australian Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to qualified KSU faculty members. The program is designed to strengthen teaching, assessment, and training capability while aligning faculty qualifications with Australian education standards and international quality assurance frameworks.
For international education in the Northern Territory, this partnership enhances the NT’s profile as a provider of high-quality transnational education and professional development. It demonstrates the Territory’s capacity to export Australian vocational education expertise offshore, support faculty development in the Indo-Pacific region, and build sustainable, long-term institutional relationships. The collaboration also lays the groundwork for future academic cooperation, contributing to the continued growth and diversification of the NT’s international education engagement.
