2026 Study NT Student Ambassadors announced!
20 outstanding international students have been selected for the 2026 Study NT Student Ambassador program to promote the Northern Territory as a premier study destination.
This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Study NT Student Ambassador program which has seen around 200 students participate to help raise the Northern Territory’s international education and training profile, and develop their own personal and professional skills.
5,577 international students from over 70 nationalities were enrolled across the Territory's quality education and training providers (latest data available, October 2025). International students are an important part of the Territory, enriching communities by sharing their diverse cultures, impressive skills and inspiring stories, and contributing to help strengthen our workforce, foster innovation, and create vibrant connections.
The Ambassador program provides a platform for international students to share their stories and firsthand experiences of studying in the Northern Territory with their peers and networks, celebrating their leadership and commitment while also recognising the diverse perspectives and global experiences they bring to our local community.
During the year-long program, the 2026 ambassadors will receive tailored training including public speaking, media engagement and personal branding, to provide them with the tools and confidence to promote the Northern Territory’s international education sector. Ambassadors will also engage in peer-to-peer and public facing community events, collaborate with Territory businesses and support Study NT in hosting international delegations.
Activities commence in February with Ambassadors officially graduating from the program in late 2026.
