I am from Nepal, a country in Asia, lying along the southern slopes of the Himalayan Mountain ranges. I am studying a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management in Darwin City College.

I came to Brisbane from Nepal in 2018, and it was a significant adjustment and struggle for me because I had never left home before. I was extremely comfortable and acclimated to the way of life in Brisbane and felt that relocating to Darwin would be another great struggle for me, but I discovered Darwin to be a dynamic and multicultural community. The diversity of cultures contributes significantly to the community. Darwin's famous markets are full of delicious food from all across the world. Cultural festivals are important social events that all community members and visitors can really enjoy. International students studying in Australia's Northern Territory will receive a great Australian education with genuine work opportunities, while living in a town that offers a warm and friendly lifestyle.

Since moving to Darwin, I've discovered a wide range of international student activities and support programs. These initiatives have really aided my integration into the community. I appreciate attending these events because it allows me to express myself while also learning from others. It also has helped me to develop my personal along with professional skills.

I am honoured to be a Study NT Student Ambassador. So far, it has been a fantastic experience, and I am extremely excited to continue my journey further more.
