Meet Victoria
In 2022 I finished my English-Spanish translation degree. Since then, I wanted to broaden my horizons and study something different that would complement my degree.
That is how I came across the Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarship program and the Diploma of Project Management program at International House Darwin. I immediately felt that this was the perfect fit for me, because this degree will help me to further develop my education, and consequently allow me to position myself better in the local job market. Australia also has a world-class education system and International House Darwin has internationally recognised qualifications. I always wanted to study abroad so with the scholarship, I will be able to fulfil all my dreams.
The scholarship program is an amazing opportunity, especially as someone who has never had the chance to experience studying abroad. Darwin is such a culturally diverse city. I want to learn, but I also want to connect with people from different backgrounds and nationalities, with different lifestyles and experiences, and I believe the Northern Territory is the perfect destination for this.
The idea of staying for a year in Darwin is really exciting. I have lived all my life in a big city with freezing winters and incredibly humid summers, so the fact that Darwin is a small city with a tropical climate is a completely new experience for me. I’m excited to live with 2 national parks nearby that you can easily visit, and to see the most beautiful sunsets in the country. Darwin also has such a rich history and heritage; I’m motivated to explore and learn from it during my stay.
I am thrilled to have received this opportunity and I really look forward to all the new experiences that studying at International House Darwin will give me during 2023.
