Meet Daniel

Daniel

Hi, I’m Daniel and I recently moved to Darwin to study a Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering at the Australian Institute of Electrotechnology.

Previously, I worked as an able bodied seaman and with maritime instrument technicians, electronic engineers and electrotechnical officers on ships for years. Part of my support function was to check equipment was in optimal working condition. I tested, calibrated and investigated faults and malfunctions related to the ship’s equipment and devices. These functions gave me the idea to pursue an education program to become an electrotechnical officer. I am very eager to learn as this is all new to me. My passion to gain knowledge and experience gives me the excitement and courage to continue learning.

When it comes to learning, I never use the word ‘stop’, I always strive to push myself to grow and maximise my full potential. I am honest, professional and dependable. I always make sure that I am focused and that I fulfil my responsibilities properly.

I have worked with many people from different walks of life as a seafarer. I also like to share the same positive vibes with others in order to have a healthy relationship and a conducive working environment.

I am happily married and blessed to have a 2‑year‑old son.
