Varuna (Vick) Sumanasena is originally from Sri Lanka and moved to Darwin in June 2018 to do his Master’s in Civil and Structural Engineering at Charles Darwin University. Vick volunteers as an Engineers Australia Student Ambassador, a Study NT Ambassador and as a volunteer student structural engineer with HPA. 

“Australia is known as the land of opportunity and I rate Darwin as the pinnacle of it. The journey as a higher education student in the Northern Territory has been amazing.”
