Raymond - 2023 Finalist International Student of the Year

Raymond Chimezie Ukaegbu - Nigeria

Charles Darwin University (CDU)

Raymond Chimezie Ukaegbu, is a PhD student in Indigenous Arts and Society at Charles Darwin University (CDU). 

 

Originally from Nigeria, Raymond founded the CDU African Students’ Forum and organised African Day, a networking event to celebrate Africans in diaspora and an African Fashion Show. 

 

He has presented his research findings in Chicago, USA and authored a book on fashion show production. 

 

As an accomplished show producer, event organiser and catwalk instructor, Raymond also volunteered at the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair where he managed back of house, choreography and trained and supported the models.
