Career and Jobs Expo - 15 April 2025
Study NT hosted the first career and jobs expo for 2025 on 15 April at the Hilton Darwin.
We had over 250 international students register to attend along with the education agents from our post ICEF ANZA familiarisation tour who got to experience the event first hand, making it a huge success!
One of the agents, Ivonne Navas, said "The Career and Jobs Expo held by the Study NT team is one of the many key and relevant factors to keep building and connecting successful, committed, empowered communities where everyone wins. The sustainability of the education system starting with study programs and many other contributing pieces that end up being rewarded with gratifying jobs, would not be possible without these types of initiatives like the Career and Jobs Expo. This is the happening place, an eye opener, where students, service providers and employers have an opportunity to connect and learn about each other with incredible, available pathways that may open the doors to a future enriched with career development and employment opportunities."
International students play a vital role in the Northern Territory. They bring new ideas, energy, and perspectives, and contribute significantly to our local workforce. Their presence helps create a more diverse, dynamic, and welcoming place to live.
Students that attended the expo, had the opportunity to meet with and introduce themselves to 15 local businesses across a range of sectors including engineering, accounting, hospitality, community services, childcare and volunteering.
Here's what Sarah Andrews, Director of Policy, Strategy & Stakeholder Relations at Hospitality NT had to say: "Hospitality NT was thrilled to participate in the Study NT Careers Expo—an incredible initiative connecting local businesses with talented international students eager to contribute to our industry. We spoke with many students passionate about hospitality and are proud to support their journey with our free online RSA course, designed specifically for international students. Removing barriers to employment ensures we attract the best talent while helping students gain valuable experience in our industry."
Study NT would like to thank all the businesses for exhibiting at the event and making it a great success!
