World Cup Watch Party
04 June 2026

All Territorians, international students, families and visitors to the Territory are invited to celebrate the world game at 2026 World Cup Watch Party NT

International students and Territorians are invited to come together and celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event at a vibrant World Cup Watch Party.

Organised by Study NT in partnership with Football Northern Territory, the event will bring together students from diverse cultural backgrounds to enjoy the excitement of live matches on the big screen, connect with peers and the wider Territory community.

As part of the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a series of user-generated content (UGC) competitions, encouraging them to share their match-day experiences, cultural pride, and celebrations with a wider audience.

Participants will be invited to capture photos or videos during the event and share them on social media using the official campaign hashtag #WorldCupWatchNT.

A range of prizes will be awarded across several categories, including:

  • Best Match Day Moment
  • Most Creative Entry
  • People’s Choice Award

The watch party forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance the international student experience and showcase the Territory as a welcoming and inclusive place to study and live in.

Football NT CEO, Jamie Monteith said, “We are proud to partner with Study NT on this initiative.

“The World Cup unites people across cultures and borders, and we are delighted to help create a welcoming environment where students from around the world can feel at home in the NT.” he added.

Students attending the event are encouraged to wear their team colours, bring their flags, and share their match-day excitement with friends, family, and the broader community.
