Winners announced for the 2024 Study NT International Student Awards!
Congratulations to the winners of the Study NT International Student Awards, announced on 14 November at a ceremony held at Parliament House.
- Study NT International Student of the Year - Cong Do Le (Peter)
Peter, from Vietnam, is studying a Master of Data Science at Charles Darwin University and has supported international students and community members in many ways over the past year. He has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and inspired others through various roles. Peter has been working to bridge the gap between information technology students and industry professionals.
- Study NT International Student Volunteer of the Year - Billy Nafoyo Chepkemoi
From Kenya, Billy is currently studying a Master of Social Work at Charles Darwin University. Billy is the President of the African Student Forum and has shown a strong dedication to volunteering in the Territory. Her coordination of the first African cultural event at Parliament House, allowed Billy to exercise her cultural advocacy skills through the bridging of gaps between diverse cultural groups and fostering community unity.
- Study NT International Student Alumni of the Year - Hari Sharma
Since finishing his studies, Hari has had a remarkable career journey as an accountant, business consultant and entrepreneur. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Skillaroo, a start-up dedicated to helping international students and graduates become employable. Hari’s leadership has been instrumental in supporting students and graduates as they navigate the job market, providing them with critical guidance and resources.
- Study NT International Student Employer of the Year - NTEX
NTEX has shown a strong commitment to supporting local and international students and alumni, helping to foster students' professional growth and development. NTEX offers internships to international students pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees in the Northern Territory, providing them with practical experience and opportunities for industry networking through diverse events such as workshops, training sessions, and conferences.
