Alumni Spotlight - Hari Sharma
Study NT Student Ambassador Alumni, Hari Sharma, was recently named a finalist in two categories for the Charles Sturt University Alumni Awards 2025. Each year, these awards recognise the exceptional achievements of their alumni, both personally and professionally, within their local communities and on a global scale.
The two award categories were:
- Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity
- Young Alumni
Being a winner of the Study NT International Alumni of the Year Award 2024, this comes as no surprise!
Originally from Nepal, Hari completed his Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from Charles Sturt University and then moved onto pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Project and Program Management from International House Business College in Darwin.
His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Skillaroo, a start-up dedicated to helping international students and graduates become employable. As the Co-founder & Managing Director of Skillaroo, Hari’s leadership has been instrumental in supporting students and graduates as they navigate the job market, providing them with critical guidance and resources.
Before establishing Skillaroo, Hari built a strong foundation as an Accountant and Business Consultant, working with several accounting firms. His academic journey laid a strong foundation for his career success in his roles as an accountant and later as an entrepreneur.
In the community, Hari has been a key leader in the Nepalese Association of Northern Territory, holding leadership roles and spearheading initiatives that focus on education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Hari’s expertise and industry recognition were further highlighted when he was selected as a Judge for the WorldSkills Competition (Business Services), organised by ISAC NT and WorldSkills Australia.
