Meet Ellie

Ellie

Hi everyone, my name is Nguyet and I come from Vietnam. I am undertaking a Master of Early Childhood Education at Charles Darwin University.

I completed my Master of Hotel Management in Sydney. However, instead of living in the speedy way of life, I decided to move to Darwin as I fell in love with a laid-back lifestyle. The Northern Territory (NT) is home to the massive Kakadu National Park, wonderful waterfront areas, Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, etc., where students have the  chance to enjoy the beauty of nature, and socialise with communities aside from studying.

The NT is a promised land for international students with professional education and excellent career opportunities. Additionally, coming to the NT, we can have natural experiences with cultural activities. Last but not least, international students feel a welcoming atmosphere and attitude from their education providers and the wider community.

I used to be a volunteer in a non-governmental organisation for more than a year, working with many people from various countries and different social status. Therefore, I enjoy talking with people, possessing a positive attitude and willingness to help others. I also have a passion for exploring cultural diversity and keeping an open mind.

It is my pleasure to become a member of the Study NT Student Ambassador Program, in which I can strengthen my personal and professional development, and contribute to the international student community. The Ambassador Program is a great opportunity to make new friends, learn about different cultures and traditions from others, and settle into my life in Darwin.
