Meet Amina Salha

Amina

Moving to the Northern Territory (NT) over a year ago was a transformative journey for me. Having never left my hometown before, I stepped out of my comfort zone into an entirely new world filled with challenges and opportunities. Initially, I was unsure of how I would adjust to a different culture, connect with people, and navigate my studies.

However, the NT quickly became my second home. Its serene landscapes, especially during the dry season, and the tranquil lifestyle helped me find a sense of peace and belonging. Living in a city that balances accessibility with a slower pace of life has allowed me to focus on my academic goals while also exploring new skills and hobbies. The opportunities to grow and develop here are endless, whether it’s engaging with the local community, exploring career pathways, or simply enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Being here has taught me the importance of embracing diversity and taking life one step at a time. I’ve learned to appreciate the value of a balanced lifestyle where you can pursue your dreams without unnecessary rush or distractions.

As a Study NT Student Ambassador, I’m excited to share my story and inspire others to experience the unique opportunities the Northern Territory has to offer. I hope to encourage fellow students to step out of their comfort zones, just as I did, and discover the boundless potential of this remarkable place.
