Meet Marvin
“Xin Chao”, my name is Marvin Hua and I am from Vietnam. Back in 2019, I landed in Victoria. After a few years of working there, I decided to go out of my comfort zone. I have chosen to study Hospitality at Charles Darwin University, Northern Territory (NT).
After a solo road trip of 3,700 kilometers from Melbourne to Darwin, I am confident to say that I love the nature, landscape and culture in the NT, especially in Darwin city. Darwin has a welcoming community, people living here are really nice to each other. I feel like Darwin is my second place I can call home. There are also a lot of cultural activities for different international communities living here. This is a big advantage for those students who study in the Territory that cannot be found elsewhere in Australia.
I chose to study in the NT as there are so many opportunities for international students to study and expand their professional career network. Charles Darwin University (CDU) is the biggest education provider in the Territory that you can choose to start your career dream. Furthermore, the Territory Government provides a huge support for international students such as the Study NT Accommodation Grant and Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarship program.
I enjoy every moment that comes to me, and becoming a Study NT Student Ambassador is a special thing in my life. I feel so lucky and grateful. I thought to myself that I will give 110% to what I do and pursue my career after graduating in the Territory. Take any chances that I can to contribute to the Territory community. To me personally, life is what we are sharing and contributing to the community.
