Meet Nushrat Islam Bhuiyan

I have always dreamed of studying abroad and building a career that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
In 2022, I moved to Australia and completed a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Biomedical Science, at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, where I developed a strong interest in mental health. I later relocated to Darwin to pursue a Master of Social Work at Charles Darwin University. I am now in my final year and aspire to become a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Social Worker.
Moving from Melbourne to Darwin involved transitioning from a fast‑paced, crowded city to a more intimate and relaxed environment. The quieter streets and smaller communities have made it easier to slow down, build connections, and feel part of the community. Living in both cities has deepened my appreciation for community, cultural diversity, and the importance of accessible support for young people.
A fun fact about me is that I enjoy exploring different coffees, visiting new cafés with friends, and collecting coffee tumblers.
