Meet Hernani Pires
I enjoy combining my studies with real-world experience across both community and professional settings in the Northern Territory.
I currently serve as Treasurer of the Latin American Association Darwin, where I help support multicultural initiatives and community events. Alongside this, I work as a Fleet Technician at BEAM Mobility, gaining hands-on experience in operations, sustainability, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
My professional background is in infrastructure IT and systems operations. Before moving to Australia, I worked as a Unix/Linux Systems Operations Specialist, gaining experience in multinational technology environments.
Coming to Australia to improve my English and develop my leadership and community engagement skills has been one of my proudest personal achievements.
Outside of work and study, I love taking on new challenges and enjoying outdoor experiences. I’ve completed sailing training, had the opportunity to drive a boat, and even go skydiving whenever I get the chance.
