Meet Clarilyn Isip

Lyn

I was raised in the stunning Philippine province of Laguna, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the country. Over the past twelve years, I have worked in a variety of hospitality-related fields, such as hotels, restaurants, casinos, and cruise ships. These experiences have given me the chance to travel the world, interact with a wide range of people, and learn about different cultures, beliefs, and outlooks on life.

Although I had a great and unforgettable time aboard the cruise and working in the hospitality industry for more than ten years, I wanted to advance my career, study and acquire new learnings and yearned for a place of my own where I could create enduring bonds with my loved ones. My sister, who resides in Darwin, urged me to visit the place. From my very first visit, I felt a connection to the Northern Territory; the weather, the natural surroundings, and the friendly locals were all very similar to those in the Philippines. The Diploma in Leadership and Management program is what I chose to enrol in after learning that Latitude College offers the course I wanted to take. I've fallen in love with Darwin's serene atmosphere, its friendly locals, and its stunning sunsets, which are unmatched by any I've seen in other countries since I moved here. Living by the beach has allowed me to enjoy the vibrant colours of the sea daily. Most importantly, I’ve built a network of friends and connections in just a few months, making me feel truly at home in this wonderful community.

I am ecstatic to be one of the ambassadors for Study NT because I know that it will provide me with a wealth of opportunities to grow personally, meet new people, share my knowledge and abilities with my fellow ambassadors, and most importantly, volunteering in the community.
