Meet Araiz Ahmad

I successfully completed Year 11 in December 2024 and am now starting Year 12. I am truly honoured to be part of the Study NT Ambassador Program, a role that allows me to represent and contribute to the incredible Northern Territory community.
I have been living in the Northern Territory for about two years now, and it already feels like home, thanks to the warm and welcoming people around me. One of the things I love most about the Northern Territory is its multicultural environment. I have made friends from various cultural backgrounds, and this diversity has made me feel included and valued while learning about others’ traditions and beliefs.
When I first arrived, the journey was challenging. I faced language barriers and cultural differences, which made adjusting difficult. However, with the support of my teachers, classmates, and community members, I was able to overcome these hurdles. Their kindness and encouragement helped me improve my English, better understand the local culture, and build strong relationships.
Living in the Northern Territory has been a transformative experience. I have discovered my abilities, strengthened my confidence, and developed new skills, especially in communication and community engagement. The Northern Territory offers countless opportunities for everyone, regardless of their background, to grow and learn something new.
I am incredibly grateful for the experiences and opportunities I’ve had while living and studying in the Northern Territory. It has truly shaped me into a more confident and capable individual. For anyone considering the Northern Territory as a place to live, study, or work, I can confidently say it is one of the best places to be.
The Northern Territory is not just a place; it’s a community where everyone belongs. I am proud to call it my home.
