I came to Darwin, Northern Territory on the first charter flight to Australia for international students since the borders closed in March 2020. Yes, the very famous flight! I’m very grateful that I had the opportunity to come to Australia while many others are unable to.

Studying in Australia has always been one of my dreams. Australia is a dynamic, vibrant country with energetic and friendly people. I had a short period of time studying in Australia previously and it made me fall in love with this country. Making the move to study in the Northern Territory has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

It is easy to connect with people in Darwin, I have never felt lonely! Although Darwin is a small city, everyone gets along and supports each other through different ways. It’s the people, it’s the multiculturalism, and it’s the beauty of this city that made me feel so welcomed and supported.

I really enjoy joining local activities, doing voluntary work and meeting people from all over the world. Darwin has truly become my home away from home.
