In 2019 I made the decision to come to Australia for a period of four weeks in June. After some research I discovered that the weather is quite cold in most parts of Australia at this time so I decided to come to Darwin, a place I heard there is always t-shirt weather which made a pretty obvious choice for me!

After a few weeks of improving my English with Navitas I had a decision to make: travelling for a few more weeks or invest in a student visa to stay longer in this beautiful place. The decision was not easy but I know I made the right one by quickly choosing to stay. I have learned so much during my time in Darwin but also the studies taught me a lot, brought me a step closer to my life goals and it was definitely a good investment in myself. 

It was clear to me that people are the thing that makes this city so special. Most people who live here are very approachable and I’m able to have a chat with many people on a daily basis without having the feeling of being judged. Furthermore, the weather is lovely and I’m able to wear the same wardrobe the whole year!
