Meet Ngoc Linh Cao
My journey to becoming an early childhood teacher was shaped by different experiences, starting with my first volunteer role at the 2018 Asian Physics Olympiad that was sponsored by my university. This exposed me to students from diverse backgrounds, including Australian students who benefited from a modern, student-centred education system. This experience fuelled my desire to pursue further education abroad. Moreover, my time in Singapore, mainly through the TF SCALE scholarship program at Temasek Polytechnic, gave me invaluable insights into the differences between the educational systems in Vietnam and internationally. This experience underscored to me the critical role of early childhood education in shaping attitudes, behaviours, and academic outcomes from a young age. It reinforced my belief in the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment that educates and nurtures the holistic development of young learners.
Choosing the right university and course is a critical decision that shapes one's academic and professional future. After researching carefully, I discovered that Darwin, with its prestigious Charles Darwin University (CDU), emerged as an ideal destination for my study journey. CDU's focus on early childhood education and its practical and research-based approach perfectly complemented my goals. This program provides expertise to equip me with advanced pedagogical strategies critical to becoming an excellent educator. The friendly and supportive environment of the Northern Territory ensures a space where I can grow and learn from like-minded individuals. Ultimately, the opportunity to study in Darwin will equip me with a world-class education and prepare me to become a future leader in early childhood education.
