Meet Sujan Manandhar

Sujan Manandhar is originally from Nepal and has a Master of IT (Software Engineering) from Charles Darwin University.

 

In just a few short years since graduating, Sujan has become a dedicated and thoughtful leader supporting innovation and community growth in the Northern Territory.

 

He founded the Google Developer Group (GDG) Darwin in 2023, a community-driven tech network that has grown to include over 300 IT professionals and students. Through workshops, talks, and partnerships, GDG Darwin has hosted 15+ national presenters and mentors, giving local students and professionals access to networks that would otherwise be unavailable.

 

As a Systems Developer at Charles Darwin University (CDU), Sujan significantly enhanced the CDU IT Code Fair 2023 by creating and deploying a digital registration system that enabled over 100 students to submit their projects seamlessly, improving both the student and judge experience.

He also participated in the CDU Careers Centre mentoring program, continuously mentoring early-career IT professionals, particularly those from international and migrant backgrounds.
