International education agents experience Darwin on Study NT Top End T20 Famil

Study NT recently welcomed eight international education agents to Darwin for an action-packed Top End T20 Familiarisation Tour, giving participants the opportunity to experience first-hand what makes the Northern Territory such a unique and exciting place to study, live and work.

 A highlight was the Study NT-sponsored Top End T20 cricket series, where agents experienced the energy and Territory community spirit. 

This was made even more special by the involvement of Study NT Student Ambassadors, who had the exciting opportunity to interview cricket players following their matches. 

The interviews provided a unique behind-the-scenes experience and demonstrate how international students can play an active role here in the NT – head to the Study NT IG and FB social media accounts to view some of the Ambassador’s amazing work. 

 The itinerary also took agents to the Parap Markets and Crocosaurus Cove, alongside visits to local education and training providers and other opportunities to meet international students and local businesses. 

By combining education, lifestyle and sport, the Top End T20 Famil offered agents to see beyond the classroom and gain a genuine understanding of what international students can expect when studying here. 

 Sunil Jaggi, Managing Director Auscan, said that “It was a pleasure getting to experience the Northern Territory beyond just the education sector. The visit gave us a much better appreciation of Darwin, the community and the opportunities for international students.” 

Sharad Bhusal, Chief Marketing Officer Oceania Education and Visa Services added that “the trip provided an excellent opportunity to engage with education providers, the Study NT team, and Migration NT, while developing a better understanding of our shared goals and priorities, particularly during this challenging time.” He was especially impressed by how welcoming the Northern Territory is towards migrants and international students, as well as the strong vision and commitment towards the Territory's future development.

The familiarisation tour forms part of Study NT's ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with international education partners and increase awareness of the opportunities available to students considering the Northern Territory as their study destination.
