It is my pleasure to introduce myself, I am Felicia, and I was born and raised in a beautiful city - Hong Kong. My first Australian education experience was in Queensland during 2016, as I embarked on a brand new journey. During this time, I gained an understanding of Australian history and diverse culture, which was an awe-inspiring experience for me. In considering the unique cultural environment in Australia, Darwin seemed to be the best place to immerse myself further.

Leaving my friends and family 3,500 kilometres away to move to Darwin was not an easy decision, however, I was extremely excited about what lay ahead. It is fortunate that people in the Top End are amazing. Thanks to the kindness, assistance and, most importantly, the support of Charles Darwin University (CDU), I have been able to settle down beautifully in this place.

I have been able to refine my own self-identity as a future teacher, as a Territorian, as a newcomer to Australia, through my studies. There is no doubt that this great opportunity represents a milestone in my personal development. My gratitude goes out to Darwin because she opened her beautiful arms to me, providing me with high quality educational experiences, valuable working experiences, and a beautiful friendship that I had never experienced before. CDU is certainly a good choice of study if you are interested in more than just academics. After experiencing all those elements, I am sure that my character has changed and I have become a better person as a result.

Despite the fact that there is still much to explore, learn, and grow in this year, it must be a successful one. I am honoured to have been selected for the Study NT Student Ambassador program, and I am proud of all Territorians. Our life is bright, so let us take advantage of it.
