Meet Dr. Eva Ignatious
Dr Eva Ignatious from India commenced her PhD at Charles Darwin University (CDU) in 2019. Her research focused on design solutions for hearing problems using brain signals which earned her the Young Investors Award at the Northern Territory Science Week.
Currently, Eva serves as a lecturer at CDU, where she teaches various engineering subjects, including Biomedical Engineering. She also worked as First Nation support tutor and held the position of Engagement Officer, leading a math challenge initiative for Year 10 students in the NT. Her leadership extended to her role at Inspired NT, where she managed projects aimed at enhancing community engagement in science.
Recently, Eva was nominated for the Engineers Australia 2024 Emerging Professional Engineer of the Year Award in NT division, receiving special mention for her outstanding contributions to engineering talent and innovation nationwide.
Eva’s achievements reflect her commitment to advancing education and technology in the NT, making a lasting impact on both her field and the community.
