Meet Sandipa
I completed a Bachelor of Information Technology from Charles Darwin University in 2020 with an ambition to pursue my career in the analytical field.
I am a person who loves to do my own research and analysis to inform my decisions. When I was in Sydney I was looking for a place where it would be easier to live and study as an international student with the feeling of acceptance in the community. After intense research, I decided to come to Darwin. The Northern Territory (NT) offers affordable accommodation along with travel concessions which other major cities of Australia do not offer to international students. Additionally, the NT provides a lot of support for international students and offers programs and events to collaborate with the international and local community.
In Darwin, multiculturalism is more accepted and celebrated than I anticipated. I enjoy Darwin’s amazing people, cultural diversity, festivals and food, Indigenous arts, sunsets, beaches, and the quiet and peaceful environment melts my heart. One of my favourite things to do in Darwin is to walk around East Point and watch the sunsets.
I am excited to be a part of the Study NT Student Ambassador Program for 2021 and explore boundless opportunities. It has been a great journey as an international student so far and I look forward to sharing it with my fellow students. I am determined to welcome and support international students every possible way to make their Territory experience incredible and give back value to the local community.
