Meet Astrid

Astrid

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Northern Territory (NT) Government and the International College of Advanced Education for honouring me with this scholarship.

I am a person with a passion for helping others and a love for nature. This has driven me to pursue new experiences and to continually add value to the world around me. This is why I made the decision to become an international student in the NT, eager to bring my passion to a different place and gain a new perspective on life.

I’ve been privileged to have visited Darwin and its surrounds and have fallen in love with its multiculturalism. In terms of cuisine, there is a lot to choose from, including Asian, Indian, European, and Latin American. During the couple of months that I visited my sister, I found dishes from many other places around the world. For me, studying commercial cookery in the NT is a way to learn from other cultures.

Darwin is the place where I can develop and improve myself in the best way. I am very excited to start my studies in this incredible city, with its unique mix of cultures and peaceful environment. I am drawn to the way that nature and the environment seem to play such an integral role in the lives of those who live here, and I am eager to explore and experience this for myself.
