Meet Keke Chen

Hi, I am KEKE. I am from China. I completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Technology and worked in the industry for several years after graduation. During that time, I gradually realized how fast technology evolves. If I wanted to continue growing in my career, I needed to strengthen my technical foundation and update my knowledge. This realization led me to return to university and pursue a Master of IT at Charles Darwin University.
Choosing to study in the Northern Territory was an important decision for me. Compared with larger cities, the NT offers a strong sense of community and a more personal environment. What attracts me most is its multicultural atmosphere. People here come from different countries and cultural backgrounds, and I truly value the opportunity to connect with them. I hope to build genuine friendships with people from diverse backgrounds, learn from their perspectives, and broaden my understanding of the world. For me, education is not only about gaining technical skills, but also about growing through communication and shared experiences.
Returning to student life after working for years has been challenging but meaningful. I feel more focused because I understand clearly why I am here. My goal is not only to improve my IT knowledge, but also to build a long-term career in Australia. If possible, I hope to continue developing professionally in the Northern Territory and contribute my skills to the local community.
Receiving this scholarship is a great encouragement, and I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity.
