I am excited to begin my Bachelor of Nursing at Charles Darwin University (CDU) and start a new chapter in Darwin, having arrived in the Northern Territory less than 30 days ago.
Originally from Vietnam, I’ve spent the last two years exploring the diverse landscapes and cultures of Australia, from the bustling streets of Sydney to the remote beauty of Broome and the charming atmosphere of Hobart. Now, I’m thrilled to call Darwin my new home as I embark on my academic journey.
Darwin’s tropical climate, vibrant yet close-knit community, and unique opportunities in healthcare are what drew me here. As a nursing student, I am eager to gain practical experience in areas such as travel nursing and Indigenous health. CDU’s Bachelor of Nursing program is renowned for its focus on cultural competence and hands-on training, which I believe will prepare me for a successful career in diverse healthcare settings. Besides, having friends at CDU has been a source of encouragement, and their stories about the university’s supportive environment and dedicated faculty inspire confidence in my decision.
I am also incredibly grateful for the Study in Australia's Northern Territory Scholarship, which has made this opportunity possible. Although I’ve only been in Darwin for a short time, I already feel a sense of belonging and look forward to contributing to this vibrant community while pursuing my goals.
