Meet Kathryn
Magandang araw! My name is Kathryn, a cum laude graduate of the Bachelor’s Program (Computer Science) from Technological University of the Philippines. I am excited to be chosen as one of the recipients of the Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarship Program. It motivates me to study harder and smarter in my chosen field of study here at Alana Kaye College (Darwin Campus).
Darwin is a perfect place to nurture our skills, as Alana Kaye College is very much equipped to teach modern technologies for international students just like me. It is a perfect place for school‑life‑balance - by just viewing the beautiful nature, beaches and socialising with very welcoming residents! Darwin promotes inclusivity and openness to diverse cultures and with its tropical monsoonal climate, it is not difficult for Filipinos to adapt to the weather.
Commuting to school is also not a problem because Darwin has affordable public transport available. Through the scholarship, I will now be able to achieve education that will be helpful in my job. Someday, in return, I can hopefully also help less-privileged students to build strong foundations by education. The scholarship is a great chance for students to bring out everyone’s potential through studying and use those skills to improve society in the future.
