Vocational education and training (VET) is accredited training in job-related and technical skills.

What’s the difference between VET and TAFE?

Nothing -in the Northern Territory, all VET qualifications are delivered by private institutions including Charles Darwin University. In other places in Australia, government institutions, called technical and further education (TAFE) institutions, deliver VET, as well as private institutions.

VET provides international students with qualifications for all types of employment, and specific skills to help them in the workplace.

Australian Institute of Electro-technology

AUSINET (Australian Institute of Electro-technology) is a Darwin based specialised training institute for electrical and instrumentation training. From sketching a concept and then building it from scratch, this training will provide you with necessary skills and information about electrical - instrumentation and lead you down the path to gain more knowledge. As Kevin always says learning never stops. Most of the course is focused on practical assignments which will give you the experience to hit the ground running. The assessments are carefully designed by industry experts and not by individuals who has never been in the field. Every practical has to performed individually. Its is a unique concept as group activities lead to some students watching the experiments rather than learning by doing. This is a technical field which cannot be learnt through books unless you put it into practice. One can't learn to ride a bike by readings books. Call and speak to our trainer who will assist any further queries about this course. On successful completion you will be awarded a technical trade certificate that is highly valid in the industry. Job opportunities include but not limited to instrumentation technicians in oil and gas sector, pharmaceuticals, process industry, mining, manufacturing, robotics, OEM and most automation platforms. Students wanting to further their career can enrol into certificate IV, diploma and advanced diploma with optional exit pathways.
