IH Darwin to open new campus in Darwin CBD

International House Darwin has announced the grand opening of its new location in the Darwin CBD will be held on 17 January 2018.

Construction began last year to turn the former health club into a college that will offer English language programs as well as business and project management courses.

The new centre has capacity for 300 students and will offer morning and evening classes. In the near future the centre will provide six levels of General English and Cambridge, IELTS and Pearson exam preparation classes, as well as Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diplomas in both Business and Project Management.

Tim Eckenfels, Owner of IH Sydney, IH Bondi and IH Darwin, said the new facility would 'greatly assist' the Northern Territory in achieving its goal of attracting 10 000 international students by 2022.

Tim said he believes Darwin is an excellent location for their international students. "Darwin's tropical climate, exciting outdoor activities, friendly and welcoming inhabitants, and uniquely Australian cultural experience will all ensure the success of this location."

He continued, "Over the past 10 years, the city has become a sophisticated hub attracting tourists from Australia and around the globe. Many visitors are surprised to find high-quality restaurants, accommodation, pubs, museums and other amenities that are equal to those found in other parts of Australia."
