2017 StudyNT Student Ambassadors at the Harmony Soiree

The 2017 Darwin Waterfront Harmony Soiree was an incredible celebration of Darwin’s rich and diverse multicultural community.

One of the many booths at the Soiree (and in our opinion, the best!) was the one planned and run by the 2017 StudyNT Student Ambassadors. The booth featured ambassadors’ photos and stories of why they chose to Study in Australia’s Northern Territory and what they think of Darwin now they’re here. See photos of the both and Soiree.

By planning and running the booth, ambassadors learned how to work as a team, project manage, work within a budget and, of course, have a great time. Abhishek sums up his experience of Darwin in a post by Her Worship the Lord Mayor of Darwin, Katrina Fong Lim (see from 4 minutes and 48seconds):

It’s been an amazing journey. I’ve been here (in the Northern Territory) for one and a half years and I’ve grown so much ….. my personality, my studies, everything”. Abhishek, India.

The Social Playground machine proved to be a huge success: similar to a photo booth, Social Playground allowed the public to take a photo at the Harmony Day Soiree and receive an instant print of it. See the photos on under the tag: #StudyNT. With over 4000 shares, the photos are very popular.
