Meet Jurse

My name is Jurse, I have been in Darwin since 2011 and I consider this place as my second home. I grew up in a tropical place so it's easy for me to get used to the weather. Darwin is a beautiful place and there is so many opportunities here. It is consider as one of the most multicultural cities in Australia which gives a more vibrant sense.

I love living in Darwin because of its natural beauty and most important it is accessible to any Asian countries especially my home country, the Philippines. I had finished my Certificate IV in Residential Drafting at Charles Darwin University and decided to pursue my career in architecture. I am fortunate to apply my knowledge and skills by working in local architecture firm. I have been involved in different local, national and international activities that helps me to develop my skills and create connection within and outside my professional industry.

Last 2015, I was appointed to be first international student (Student Organize Network for Architecture) SONA representative for the Northern Territory which represents architecture students from across Australia, organising national, state and local events that provide opportunities for students to collaborate with each other as well as architects and associated professionals.
